Solution

The developed solution consists of 2 parts:

  • Web-based platform for collecting and analyzing the data from the sales reps;
  • Mobile app to be used by field sales representatives to submit daily reports on the number of visits made.

Having evaluated the client’s existing workflows and challenges they were facing, our team proposed .NET as the main technology framework for the web-based part of the solution, and .NET Compact Framework for its mobile part. The client’s UI is based on WinForms, while the database layer is built using Oracle and Oracle Data Guard as a disaster recovery solution for the enterprise data.

The delivered technological platform allows for:

  • Collection of operational data from sales representatives, obtained during their visits to points of sales.
  • Creation and maintenance of a consolidated database of POS in partners’ regions to optimize the sales representatives’ itineraries and frequency of visits.
  • Performance analysis of separate POS and entire regions (distributor, branch, region or entire region).

The system supports a role-based access to functionality and information, featuring 6 different user roles (from sales representatives to management) and 25 reference books (for region-specific partners, itineraries, etc.).
